Inspection services

Piscari is the Monitoring Agency for Government Schools in Abu Dhabi Emirate for the Abu Dhabi Education Council (“ADEC”).  This contract is for three academic years until September 2011.

The core purpose of the work is to bring about rapid improvements in the quality of teaching and learning in designated schools by carrying out rigorous and detailed monitoring of the work of the providers who are currently managing these schools. This is a high profile contract of an exacting nature, which is well matched to the expert capabilities of Piscari.

School management
Piscari Learning owns a high achieving, independent prep school called St Colette’s which is located in Cambridge, UK and offers children aged 2.5yrs to 7yrs, first class teaching and pastoral care. For more information click here.

School Creation
Piscari Learning is in the process of setting up a brand new school called Gretton which will be a specialist SEN day and residential school and regional support and training centre for children and young people with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). For more information click here.

Sustainable Education Provision
Piscari Learning will deliver world-class education services to Piscari EcoBuild’s African Children into Education programme to ensure sustainability. These will be delivered over a three year period and will comprise:

1. Accredited outset teacher training (level 1)
2. Accredited learning support training
3. Accredited teacher training (level 2)
4. Accredited middle and senior management leadership programmes
5. Ongoing service management guidance and support
6. Technology learning hubs in each school
7. Employment opportunities to local communities and students

We will aim to ensure that each local community has the skills, desire and ability to deliver sustainable education at the end of each three year period.

School Improvement
Piscari supports the Department of Children, Schools and Families (“DCSF”) ‘London Challenge Programme’ by providing a London Challenge Advisor. 
The London Challenge Programme is a national, high profile initiative, providing support for primary and secondary schools in challenging circumstances. Schools receive intensive support from a London Challenge Adviser and a tailored package aimed at raising standards and building capacity for sustained improvement. The main outcomes of the programme will be a sharp drop in underperforming and low attaining schools, particularly focusing on English and Maths; more outstanding schools and significant improvements in educational outcomes for disadvantaged children.

Underperforming schools in the Bronx
Piscari has also undertaken work on behalf of the New York City Center for Charter School Excellence supporting clusters of secondary schools in the Bronx. This work particularly focused on supporting underperforming schools, developing training initiatives and setting sustainable practice in place to lever up standards of both teaching and learning.

Framework Provider
Piscari is working with the Quality Improvement Agency (QIA) as a Framework Provider of education services, and the delivery of programmes supporting the roll-out of QIA policy.
