Piscari Trust
Registered Charity Number: 1122408We have been shocked by the levels of poverty and disadvantage being suffered by individual pupils in complex, often inner city, areas of deprivation despite the outstanding efforts of so many staff and volunteers in the field. Over the years, we have admired the efforts made by these young people to battle their disadvantage and have taken a decision to try and make a difference to the individual lives of as many young people as possible.
The Piscari Trust was set up in late 2007 and is in the process of creating its own unique scheme called Tools for Suxess™ aimed at disadvantaged young people aged 16-25 years old, who need to buy tools to succeed in further education and employment. For example, utensils and whites for chefs, skincare products for beauticians, professional attire for retail management, sewing machines for fashion designers and much more.

In addition to finance, the scheme also intends to provide a support package that includes a mentoring programme, specialist support and education on topics such as financial planning, stress management, career development and childcare.
Applications will be made by young people themselves but must be endorsed by participating further education colleges, that we have partnered with – this list will be available shortly.
The scheme has already provided 11 students with tools to go on into further education and employment during 2008. Tools we purchased included IT equipment, beauty products, construction tools, business clothes and laptops.
We believe everyone is capable of success given the right knowledge, tools and support. We hope to make a difference to as many lives as possible by lending them a helping hand to get on and into work. More details about this scheme, how to take part and application forms will be coming soon.
